Definition / Meaning of this idiom 成語解繹:
  • A baseball player is standing on what is called 'a
    base', If he gets off the base, the other team can
    cause him to be 'out' (i.e. he loses).
  • The baseball player has taken a position away
    from the base he has touched previously in the
    game.
  • A person or project is not where it should be.
  • Being wrong or unrealistic.
